Huntingcircle.com and Hunting For The Rest Of Us began as an idea and a dream. My dream. My name is Art Wedge. I live and hunt in the great state of Wisconsin. Just like many of you, I also hunt public land and struggle with the same kind of hunting problems you do. That is where "Hunting For The Rest Of Us" came from.
As I sat one day watching a hunting show on TV it dawned on me, why do I watch this stuff? Seeing a monster Whitetail, Bull Elk or any other trophy animal being taken is cool but how does it relate to me I thought. Many of the shows I see do not give much detail that went into planning the hunt or scouting for the game and I do not have thousands of dollars to pay guides and outfitters to do it for me. So what do I get out of it besides a little entertainment?
Then the idea hit me. I don't do to bad hunting public land or finding private places to hunt and have a little bit of a knack for finding game. What if I created a place that people could to come and share what they know about hunting with others? I could share what I know and maybe help someone else become a better hunter. I am self employed and make a good living for my family and yet I still can not afford the money it takes for that hunt of a lifetime. My guess is, I am not the only one that feels that way. Yet television seems to hand just that to us again and again. Do not get me wrong. I want that trophy the same as everyone else. The only difference is, I have to do it on my own.
I have surrounded myself with some great people and wonderful friends here that love to share their passion and knowledge with others. Hopefully as we right our articles for you to read and share the things we have learned and love about the great outdoors, you may just use it to bag that trophy you pursue. If we are lucky, we might learn from you as well. Is that not what it really is all about? Enjoying the time we spend with nature and sharing that with others. Sounds like a good time to me
So, now I have a web site "Huntingcircle.com". This site is dedicated to the average Joe Guy or Gal that has a love for hunting and a passion to become better at it. No, you will not find the biggest record book animals here but you will find some hard work and determination that sometimes pays off. In the event that we come home empty handed (as we often do) we have the memories of days afield spent with friends and family to last a lifetime and share those memories with you...
